I experienced a power surge late on Friday night and I lost several of my appliances, including a refrigerator in the garage. Successfully planned and executed a major upgrade to my house service panel and ran electrical/lighting to the newly installed shop and automotive lift. We had these old fuses that looked like the base of a lightbulb, with wire that you could see the copper exposed. They replaced the entire panel with flip style breakers and new wire. The funny part to me was the price wasn't much more than what I was looking at just for the big box thing from home depot
